Chin refugees in Mizoram PDF Print E-mail
Mizoram is a mountainous state, with few roads, few vehicles and fewer amenities. Most of the Burmese people in Mizoram are from Chin State. Many are migrants and refugees across a porous border, some are itinerant workers trying to earn a living for themselves and their families. Some settle in the larger towns, but others are living in isolated villages and work camps in remote areas.
